# VPN vs VPN Sense

VPN and VPN Sense both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 90% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 53% of VPN Sense's. VPN also leads on ratings volume (2.1M vs 405) and chart position (#9 vs unranked). VPN Sense's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and VPN Sense sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 2.1M ratings behind it against 405, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 53% of VPN Sense's.

VPN ships an update weekly, VPN Sense fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
