# VPN vs VPN Master

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VPN at 2.1M against VPN Master's 1.5K. VPN also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and chart position (#11 vs unranked). VPN Master's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and VPN Master sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 2.1M ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 83% of VPN Master's.

VPN ships an update weekly, VPN Master every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and August 31, 2026 respectively.
