# LAYÒUT vs ElePhotos

The clearest difference is price: ElePhotos at Free against LAYÒUT's $0.99. ElePhotos also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). LAYÒUT's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ElePhotos is free to download; LAYÒUT costs $0.99 up front. LAYÒUT sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and ElePhotos sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ElePhotos holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LAYÒUT has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of LAYÒUT's written reviews are positive against 33% of ElePhotos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LAYÒUT ships an update every 6 weeks, ElePhotos every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
