# STAELLA vs Trapp

The clearest difference is ads: Trapp at none against STAELLA's shown. Trapp also leads on rating (4.2 vs 3.9) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.0). STAELLA's advantage is review sentiment (45% vs 21%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. STAELLA sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Trapp sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trapp holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.7K and 3.9K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of STAELLA's written reviews are positive against 21% of Trapp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

STAELLA ships an update every 2 months, Trapp every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
