# PortalGate vs Rememory

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PortalGate at 44% against Rememory's 0%. PortalGate also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1). Rememory's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.7) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PortalGate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Rememory asks for nothing beyond the download.

Rememory holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PortalGate has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of PortalGate's written reviews are positive against 0% of Rememory's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PortalGate ships an update every 15 months, Rememory fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
