# e vs NotaryGadget

e and NotaryGadget both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of NotaryGadget's written reviews are positive against 50% of e's. NotaryGadget also leads on ratings volume (684 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.5). e's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for e against 4.9 for NotaryGadget. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NotaryGadget has 684 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of e's written reviews are positive against 83% of NotaryGadget's.

e ships an update fortnightly, NotaryGadget every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
