# Checklist vs Digital Planner

The clearest difference is rating: Digital Planner at 4.3 against Checklist's 1.8. Digital Planner also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (14K vs 5). Checklist's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Checklist sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Digital Planner sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digital Planner holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Planner has 14K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 0% of Checklist's written reviews are positive against 21% of Digital Planner's.

Checklist ships an update every 26 months, Digital Planner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
