# Formula SAE vs SWE Events

The clearest difference is rating: SWE Events at 4.5 against Formula SAE's 3.3. SWE Events also leads on ratings volume (114 vs 10) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Formula SAE's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
