# MyDolphin Plus vs PoolChem Tracker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PoolChem Tracker at 100% against MyDolphin Plus's 20%. PoolChem Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). MyDolphin Plus's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (8.9K vs 6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PoolChem Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MyDolphin Plus asks for nothing beyond the download.

MyDolphin Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyDolphin Plus has 8.9K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of MyDolphin Plus's written reviews are positive against 100% of PoolChem Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyDolphin Plus ships an update every 2 months, PoolChem Tracker every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
