# M Tool vs SMA 360°

The clearest difference is review sentiment: M Tool at 50% against SMA 360°'s 13%. M Tool also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). SMA 360°'s advantage is rating (3.3 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (30 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SMA 360° holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMA 360° has 30 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of M Tool's written reviews are positive against 13% of SMA 360°'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

M Tool ships an update every 3 weeks, SMA 360° every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
