# Vampire Story vs Else Words

The clearest difference is update cadence: Else Words at weekly against Vampire Story's every 7 months. Else Words also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Vampire Story's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vampire Story sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Else Words sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Else Words holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vampire Story has 3.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
