# Privacy Camera + vs InviCam

The clearest difference is rating: InviCam at 4.5 against Privacy Camera +'s 1.0. InviCam also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (269 vs 1). Privacy Camera +'s advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 12%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Privacy Camera + sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.49 per 3 months and InviCam sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InviCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InviCam has 269 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Privacy Camera +'s written reviews are positive against 12% of InviCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
