# Face Cap vs Abound

The clearest difference is update cadence: Face Cap at every 2 weeks against Abound's every 6 weeks. Face Cap also leads on review sentiment (65% vs 53%). Abound's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (856 vs 138). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Face Cap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Abound sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Abound holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Abound has 856 ratings behind it against 138, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Face Cap's written reviews are positive against 53% of Abound's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Face Cap ships an update every 2 weeks, Abound every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
