# Albany Explorer vs CDPHP Cycle

The clearest difference is rating: CDPHP Cycle at 4.7 against Albany Explorer's 3.8. CDPHP Cycle also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 10) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Albany Explorer's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 41%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CDPHP Cycle holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CDPHP Cycle has 1.2K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Albany Explorer's written reviews are positive against 41% of CDPHP Cycle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Albany Explorer ships an update every 3 weeks, CDPHP Cycle weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
