# Powerpal vs LMCT+

The clearest difference is monetization model: LMCT+ at free against Powerpal's free with in-app purchases. LMCT+ also leads on ratings volume (17K vs 24) and review sentiment (94% vs 70%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LMCT+ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LMCT+ has 17K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Powerpal's written reviews are positive against 94% of LMCT+'s.

Powerpal ships an update every 3 weeks, LMCT+ fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
