# IMSLP vs Sheng

The clearest difference is ratings volume: IMSLP at 515 against Sheng's 9. IMSLP also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Sheng's advantage is review sentiment (81% vs 70%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IMSLP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Sheng sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for IMSLP against 4.4 for Sheng. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IMSLP has 515 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of IMSLP's written reviews are positive against 81% of Sheng's.

IMSLP ships an update every 10 days, Sheng every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
