# IMSLP vs Pet Metronome

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pet Metronome at 100% against IMSLP's 70%. Pet Metronome also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). IMSLP's advantage is ratings volume (514 vs 13) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IMSLP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Pet Metronome sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pet Metronome holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IMSLP has 514 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of IMSLP's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pet Metronome's.

IMSLP ships an update every 10 days, Pet Metronome every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
