# BCCI vs Bowlometer

BCCI and Bowlometer both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Bowlometer's written reviews are positive against 26% of BCCI's. Bowlometer also leads on iOS requirement (14.1 vs 17.0). BCCI's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for BCCI against 4.3 for Bowlometer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BCCI has 626 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 26% of BCCI's written reviews are positive against 75% of Bowlometer's.

BCCI ships an update every 2 weeks, Bowlometer every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
