# AttendanceElf vs Index

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Index at none against AttendanceElf's 1. AttendanceElf's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 15 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AttendanceElf sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Index asks for nothing beyond the download.

AttendanceElf ships an update every 3 months, Index every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
