# LiveUp! vs Slang

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Slang at 100% against LiveUp!'s 35%. Slang also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.1). LiveUp!'s advantage is ratings volume (82 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LiveUp! sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Slang sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slang holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LiveUp! has 82 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 35% of LiveUp!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Slang's.

LiveUp! ships an update fortnightly, Slang every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
