# HEIHEI vs AnimeOshi

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AnimeOshi at 100% against HEIHEI's 40%. AnimeOshi also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). HEIHEI's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HEIHEI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AnimeOshi has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of HEIHEI's written reviews are positive against 100% of AnimeOshi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HEIHEI ships an update every 3 months, AnimeOshi every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
