# Playlog vs Turtl

The clearest difference is ads: Turtl at none against Playlog's shown. Turtl also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Playlog's advantage is review sentiment (96% vs 82%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Playlog sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Turtl sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Turtl holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 28 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Playlog's written reviews are positive against 82% of Turtl's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Playlog ships an update every 8 days, Turtl every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
