# Sette Updater vs Anova Oven

The clearest difference is rating: Anova Oven at 4.0 against Sette Updater's 2.9. Anova Oven also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (804 vs 17). Sette Updater's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (7.1 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anova Oven sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Sette Updater asks for nothing beyond the download.

Anova Oven holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anova Oven has 804 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Sette Updater's written reviews are positive against 35% of Anova Oven's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
