# Sailing Term vs SWAC

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SWAC at none against Sailing Term's 1. SWAC also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). Sailing Term's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 20 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sailing Term sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SWAC asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sailing Term ships an update fortnightly, SWAC every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
