# Tiny Paint vs Drawing Apps

The clearest difference is monetization model: Drawing Apps at free with in-app purchases against Tiny Paint's subscription. Drawing Apps also leads on ratings volume (5.2K vs 521). Tiny Paint's advantage is review sentiment (81% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tiny Paint sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 6 months and Drawing Apps sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Tiny Paint against 4.4 for Drawing Apps. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drawing Apps has 5.2K ratings behind it against 521, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of Tiny Paint's written reviews are positive against 63% of Drawing Apps's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 1, 2026.
