# DPI vs bestplace

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: bestplace at none against DPI's 1. bestplace also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DPI sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. bestplace asks for nothing beyond the download.

DPI ships an update every 2 months, bestplace fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
