# XVRView vs Reel

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: XVRView at none against Reel's 1. XVRView also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). Reel's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reel sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. XVRView asks for nothing beyond the download.

XVRView ships an update every 2 months, Reel every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
