# Nextlingua vs Basic

The clearest difference is ads: Basic at none against Nextlingua's shown. Nextlingua's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nextlingua sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Basic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nextlingua ships an update fortnightly, Basic monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
