# LU Mobile vs GCU Student App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GCU Student App at 100% against LU Mobile's 40%. LU Mobile's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 11 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LU Mobile holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of LU Mobile's written reviews are positive against 100% of GCU Student App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LU Mobile ships an update every 5 weeks, GCU Student App every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
