# Golf GPS++ vs SwingDing Golf

The clearest difference is rating: SwingDing Golf at 5.0 against Golf GPS++'s 4.6. SwingDing Golf also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Golf GPS++'s advantage is ratings volume (4.7K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golf GPS++ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and SwingDing Golf sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SwingDing Golf holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf GPS++ has 4.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Golf GPS++ ships an update every 5 weeks, SwingDing Golf every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
