# Vigilo vs Lingu

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lingu at 86% against Vigilo's 0%. Lingu also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Vigilo's advantage is rating (3.6 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (35 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vigilo holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vigilo has 35 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Vigilo's written reviews are positive against 86% of Lingu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vigilo ships an update every 3 months, Lingu monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
