# Ego Driver vs ECO

The clearest difference is rating: Ego Driver at 4.6 against ECO's 4.1. Ego Driver also leads on ratings volume (5.1K vs 47). ECO's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 39%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ego Driver holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ego Driver has 5.1K ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Ego Driver's written reviews are positive against 76% of ECO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ego Driver ships an update fortnightly, ECO every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
