# Simple Log vs Diary

The clearest difference is update cadence: Diary at every 2 days against Simple Log's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Log sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.49 per month and Diary sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Log ships an update monthly, Diary every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
