# Stepics vs StepDog

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Stepics at none against StepDog's 4. Stepics also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 17.6). StepDog's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 18). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepDog sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Stepics asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Stepics against 4.2 for StepDog. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StepDog has 1.3K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two.
