# Schaum's Outlines vs Fluent Forever

The clearest difference is rating: Schaum's Outlines at 4.4 against Fluent Forever's 3.7. Schaum's Outlines also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). Fluent Forever's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fluent Forever sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Schaum's Outlines asks for nothing beyond the download.

Schaum's Outlines holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fluent Forever has 1.2K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Schaum's Outlines's written reviews are positive against 43% of Fluent Forever's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Schaum's Outlines ships an update every 15 months, Fluent Forever every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
