# Adventure Academy vs ChomChom

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ChomChom at 100% against Adventure Academy's 61%. ChomChom also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Adventure Academy's advantage is ratings volume (123K vs 6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Adventure Academy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and ChomChom sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChomChom holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Adventure Academy has 123K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Adventure Academy's written reviews are positive against 100% of ChomChom's.

Adventure Academy ships an update monthly, ChomChom every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
