# Blurize vs Spectre Camera

Blurize and Spectre Camera both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 93% of Blurize's written reviews are positive against 46% of Spectre Camera's. Blurize also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). Spectre Camera's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 18). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blurize sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Spectre Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blurize holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spectre Camera has 2.4K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 93% of Blurize's written reviews are positive against 46% of Spectre Camera's.

Blurize ships an update every 3 weeks, Spectre Camera every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
