# Timeshifter vs The Nod

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: The Nod at none against Timeshifter's 3. The Nod also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Timeshifter's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 5) and chart position (#25 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timeshifter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year. The Nod asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Nod holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timeshifter has 2.7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Timeshifter ships an update every 8 days, The Nod every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
