# SRF/YSS vs Soul33

The clearest difference is monetization model: SRF/YSS at free against Soul33's freemium. SRF/YSS also leads on ratings volume (399 vs 14). Soul33's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (92% vs 83%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for SRF/YSS against 4.8 for Soul33. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SRF/YSS has 399 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of SRF/YSS's written reviews are positive against 92% of Soul33's.

SRF/YSS ships an update every 2 months, Soul33 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
