# Dropout vs Mech+

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Dropout at 77K against Mech+'s 6. Dropout also leads on review sentiment (99% vs 80%) and chart position (#53 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dropout sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Mech+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Dropout against 5.0 for Mech+. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dropout has 77K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 99% of Dropout's written reviews are positive against 80% of Mech+'s.

Dropout ships an update every 2 months, Mech+ every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
