# Dropout vs Dog

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dog at none against Dropout's 2. Dog also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). Dropout's advantage is ratings volume (77K vs 5) and chart position (#55 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dropout sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Dog asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Dropout against 5.0 for Dog. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dropout has 77K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 99% and 100% positive.

Dropout ships an update every 2 months, Dog every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
