# Horror Games & Chat Stories vs Countdown App

The clearest difference is rating: Horror Games & Chat Stories at 4.5 against Countdown App's 3.0. Countdown App's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (46% vs 35%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Horror Games & Chat Stories sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Countdown App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Horror Games & Chat Stories holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 42K and 36K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Horror Games & Chat Stories's written reviews are positive against 46% of Countdown App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Horror Games & Chat Stories ships an update every 3 weeks, Countdown App every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
