# BlazePod vs King

The clearest difference is rating: King at 5.0 against BlazePod's 4.2. King also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). BlazePod's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (232 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlazePod sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. King asks for nothing beyond the download.

King holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlazePod has 232 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BlazePod ships an update fortnightly, King every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
