# TinyMix vs Filter It

The clearest difference is rating: Filter It at 5.0 against TinyMix's 4.2. Filter It also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). TinyMix's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (27 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TinyMix sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Filter It sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Filter It holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TinyMix has 27 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TinyMix ships an update every 5 months, Filter It every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
