# English vs Lingopanda

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lingopanda at 84% against English's 33%. Lingopanda also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (21K vs 4). English's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. English sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lingopanda sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lingopanda holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lingopanda has 21K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of English's written reviews are positive against 84% of Lingopanda's.

English ships an update every 6 weeks, Lingopanda every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
