# Wave, AI Live Wallpapers Maker vs Wallpapers live 4K Background

The clearest difference is monetization model: Wallpapers live 4K Background at free with in-app purchases against Wave, AI Live Wallpapers Maker's subscription. Wallpapers live 4K Background also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Wave, AI Live Wallpapers Maker's advantage is ratings volume (42K vs 234) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wave, AI Live Wallpapers Maker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Wallpapers live 4K Background sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wave, AI Live Wallpapers Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wave, AI Live Wallpapers Maker has 42K ratings behind it against 234, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Wave, AI Live Wallpapers Maker's written reviews are positive against 52% of Wallpapers live 4K Background's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wave, AI Live Wallpapers Maker ships an update every 3 weeks, Wallpapers live 4K Background every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
