# Chipmunk Word vs Type Flash

The clearest difference is rating: Type Flash at 4.5 against Chipmunk Word's 2.8. Type Flash also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 33%) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 12). Chipmunk Word's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 13.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chipmunk Word sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Type Flash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Type Flash holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Type Flash has 1.2K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Chipmunk Word's written reviews are positive against 74% of Type Flash's.
