# Renote vs OctoNote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Renote at 100% against OctoNote's 60%. Renote also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Renote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and OctoNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
