# Animefest vs Boffin

The clearest difference is update cadence: Animefest at every 2 weeks against Boffin's every 5 months. Boffin's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Animefest ships an update every 2 weeks, Boffin every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
