# Guitar Tab Maker vs Tabinator Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: Guitar Tab Maker at freemium against Tabinator Pro's subscription. Guitar Tab Maker also leads on ratings volume (514 vs 3). Tabinator Pro's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guitar Tab Maker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Tabinator Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Guitar Tab Maker against 4.7 for Tabinator Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guitar Tab Maker has 514 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Guitar Tab Maker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tabinator Pro's.
